FAQ’s

Seminar Check In

Seminar Check in will be Sunday October 3rd after 1 p.m.  Checkout is typically Friday morning after breakfast.  If you must check in before Sunday at 1p.m.  please contact us so we can make appropriate arrangements.  If we don't know you are coming on Saturday you will not be allowed to stay at the camp Saturday night.

Meals

We will provide dinner Sunday night through breakfast Friday morning.

Classes and Locations

Camp Trico has some property, but all classes will be moving around the general area in order to give everybody enough room.  If you are traveling with somebody you will need to plan accordingly, particularly if you are not going to be in the same class.  Most areas are within 20-25 minutes of Trico.

Camp Description

Camp Trico has a combination of 4 person unheated cabins and one larger lodge.  You will need a crate for your dog, sleeping bag/linens, and associated personal items.

Shot Records

You must bring a copy of your shot records with you if you do not send them in with registration.  We are not requiring a health certificate (it’s not required for interstate travel into Alabama) but please make sure you dog is healthy before beginning your journey.  On your shot records, you must have a rabies and DHP-PC Booster. We recommend your dog be treated for Kennel Cough and be on heartworm preventive (yes it’s common here).  We also recommend your dog be on tick/flea preventive as well, it will still be warm enough here for those critters to be a concern.  Canine flu shots are optional and up to the handler.

Dogs in Heat

We will not allow dogs in heat at the seminar.  This is for the comfort of all dogs.  If your dog comes in heat unexpectedly, please contact us as quickly as possible.

Auction

Please bring an item or two for the auction.  NASDA will be getting donations, but we can use all the help we can get!  Please bring your checkbook or cash as well – we need you to spend money at the auction too!

If you are flying -

Let us know if you are flying, we should be able to provide extra sleeping bags, pillows, crates and other items that you may not have to fly with.
