David is a founding member of NASDA.  He worked his original dog, Calculus,  a lab shepherd mix, who is now retired as a live wilderness search dog.  David was an avid hiker and backpacker before becoming involved in search work and David loves the opportunity to work his dog and combine it with spending time in the woods.  David now runs support for the team and acts as babysitter for the kids while Janet is training.
